L. reclusa bites typically occur in these areas.

Distribution: Most brown recluse bites occur due to a defensive reaction by the spider as it is pressed against a person’s flesh. This usually occurs if a spider has crawled into a person’s clothing or bed sheets.  While a spider bite may potentially occur at any part of the body, L. reclusa bites typically occur on the trunk and thighs. Brown recluse bites on the hands, feet, or face are considered extremely rare.
